Built by people who've done the work.
OrbitOps started with a simple frustration: the software built for field-service operators is either bloated enterprise gear priced for 50-truck fleets, or thin tools that don't understand how the work actually happens.
Chris spent years in the trades — running service calls, managing materials, dealing with the same paperwork and the same leaks every operator knows. Billing from memory at the end of a long week. Materials that went on the truck but never made it onto an invoice. Software that fought him instead of helping. Ben grew up working in his family's greenhouse and has spent years building software that people actually rely on. Between them: the field-service side and the build-it-right side, from two people who've lived both.
They run OrbitOps as a two-person shop — no investors to answer to, no growth targets that push them to nickel-and-dime the people who use it. The goal is a product operators actually trust: fair pricing, no add-on traps, and software that quietly finds the money you're already losing.
We built it for the operator running a real business out of a truck. Because that's the world we come from too.
